STABILA Charity Campaign 2021
One campaign, five international organisations
After the success of the “Stickers for Children” and “Ruler for Children” charity campaigns, STABILA’s charity campaign for 2021 focussed not only on one but on five international organisations.
Take a photo of your own STABILA moment and post it on Instagram using the hashtag #stabilacharity – it’s that easy to donate €2. This was the idea behind the first part of STABILA’s charity campaign for 2021. The STABILA online community was asked to record their own STABILA moments by posting them on Instagram from 15 March to 15 November 2021 using the hashtag #stabilacharity. A €2 donation was made to charity for each post.
A total of 499 posts included the #stabilacharity hashtag, which equated to donations of €998 in total. STABILA rounded this amount up and doubled it, meaning that Mr Dähne, CEO of STABILA, and the Social Media team were able to hand over a cheque for €2,000 to charity partner Esperanza e. V. at the beginning of December.
Esperanza e. V. was a special partner by STABILA’s side in 2021. The association has been actively engaged in development projects in the Guatemalan Highlands for 28 years. Esperanza e. V. builds primary schools, secondary schools and academies in Guatemala on the understanding that a good school education can be a key pillar in building a better future. After all, many places are seriously lacking in schools.
For several years, Esperanza e. V has been using sustainable materials like bamboo and clay to construct school buildings. Of course, professional and robust tools are also part of the job.
The STABILA online community was told more about the sustainable building practices on STABILA’s social media pages, which presented four of Esperanza e. V’s previous projects. At the same time, the online community was also able to purchase exclusive STABILA products via two auctions on Instagram. All of the proceeds from these auctions also went to Esperanza e. V.
For the second part of STABILA’s charity campaign in 2021, STABILA was supported by four international influencers as STABILA donation ambassadors. The influencers were all tradespeople and each one was allowed to choose an organisation or project close to their hearts for STABILA to donate €300 to.
Magdalena (@electriciangirl_) was the first. She supported the Austrian association Kleine Wildtiere in großer Not (Small Wild Animals in Great Distress) with her donation. Magdalena also got involved and personally helped the association with their electrical work when they moved to a new location.
Brenton (@thetooldog) was the next STABILA donation ambassador after @electriciangirl_. His donation was used to build a rabbit hutch for the Australian association Geelong Animal Welfare Society, an animal protection project that is very important to @thetooldog, especially as his account focusses on his dog Brixton alongside his work as a tradesperson.
After these two international donation ambassadors, it was time for a German donation ambassador midway through the year. Christian and his family (@bauunternehmung_baumgaertner) selected the association Förderverein Lützelsoon e.V. for their donation and also donated an additional €500 from their own pockets. A child being diagnosed with a severe illness or disability is a horrible ordeal for many families, so this donation supported the multifaceted work of Förderverein Lützelsoon e.V.
As the last donation ambassador, Rachael (@thegingermason) decided that the fund and building department of Lincoln Cathedral in England would receive her donation.
This donation, and the STABILA measuring tools provided, have been used and will be used to replace damaged stones on the cathedral’s chapter house, which is over 700 years old.
