At STABILA, we know how important it is for users to be able to rely on their measuring tools at all times. That is why we place great importance on the best materials, focus on in-house processes and have a thorough quality management process certified to DIN ISO 9001. Every product that leaves our premises has been checked several times during production to ensure that it satisfies our high STABILA quality standards.

That is why STABILA provides a 10-year warranty for aluminium profile spirit levels from the day they are purchased. For electronic measuring tools, rotation lasers, point and line lasers, and laser distance measurers, we provide a 2-year warranty. You can find more information on our warranty conditions and scope in the Downloads area.

In tough everyday conditions on construction sites, a measuring tool may sometimes get damaged or fail or its accuracy may need to be checked. Our STABILA repair service checks and repairs your STABILA measuring tool. If it is under warranty, this is done for you free of charge. The repair service is available even outside of the warranty. You can request a cost estimate or you can ask us to perform a repair and tell us what your set cost limits are.

Your STABILA product will be checked and repaired by qualified specialists. You can be sure that only original STABILA spare parts will be used and that your measuring tool will measure precisely again after the repair.

Note on spirit levels
Thanks to the special LOCKED VIALS installation technology, the vials on STABILA spirit levels stay permanently attached to the profile. Every STABILA spirit level is checked at least five times before it leaves our site. A bent profile is the most common cause of any inaccuracies that occur. Please be aware that bent profiles are not covered by the STABILA warranty. If you want to make a warranty claim, please check beforehand that your spirit level profile really is inaccurate and make sure that it is not bent. What should you do?

  1. Before commissioning the STABILA repair service, please check:
    • Spirit levels: Please observe the notes in the “Services according to products / Spirit levels” section. Check that your spirit level really is inaccurate and make sure that the profile is not bent. You will find instructions here.
    • Laser and electronic products: Have the appropriate batteries been inserted correctly and are they charged?
  2. During the warranty period, you can simply go to your STABILA dealer with your purchase receipt. The dealer will then process this for you. To find a STABILA dealer near to you, you can use our dealer locator for selected countries.
  3. If you want to have your device repaired by STABILA or a STABILA SERVICE POINT or you want to claim under your warranty directly with STABILA, please follow the instructions for your region / country. In many countries, STABILA uses a certified repair partner, called a STABILA SERVICE POINT.
